Hans Herzog Heavenly Seven 2009
- Region: Marlborough
- Tasting Notes:
Glorious, mighty, robust, intense but with the elegance and classiness Hans’ wines are so famous for.
True to the name the wine evolves beautifully in the glass and is drinking well now. If you favour the primary fruit aromas and beautiful fragrant we suggest drinking this wine in its first few years despite having the potential to age gracefully.
A combination of Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Arneis and Gewürztraminer.
The different blends (secret to the winemaker) were whole bunch pressed and co-fermented in a 500lt French oak puncheon with indigenous yeast. The wine has been aged for nearly a year on its fine lees. No fining and only very light filtration.
