Hans Herzog Arneis 2010
- Region: Marlborough
- Tasting Notes:
Arneis is a delicate, fresh summer wine with aromas of pears and herbs and almond flavours on the palate and a strong mineral backbone. If you favour the primary fruit aromas and beautiful fragrance we suggest drinking this wine in the next few years.
This is the main white grape variety from Piedmont (North West Italy) which is famous for its reds - Barolo and Barbaresco (Nebbiolo).
The wonderful fruit was whole bunch pressed and aged for 9 months in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees. 50% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation. No fining and only very light filtration.
