Ma Maison Chardonnay 2010

• Region: Martinborough
• Tasting Notes: The colour is a pale gold with just a tinge of green in the right light. A good young Chardonnay colour.
   
  The aroma is abundant in white stone fruits such as white peach, nectarine and melon. The two/three-year-old Cadus barrels have been most effective in providing texture without oak intrusion in the aroma. The lees are not stirred so the aroma is very fruit dominant.
   
  After full and complete malolactic fermentation the expression of melons, hints of spice and rich fruitfulness showing at this time of labelling are indicative of what will empower a long life for this wine. The palate is in balance for youthful enjoyment but will age gracefully over the next five to eight years given good cool cellaring conditions.
