Stone Paddock Syrah 2008

• Region: Hawkes Bay
• Tasting Notes: Grapes from the Triangle vineyard on Maraekakaho Road were selected for this Stone Paddock Syrah due to their vast flavour and aroma profile.
  
  Dried herbs, white pepper and savoury notes are the initial characters present on the nose, but with the introduction of air the wine opens up to reveal characters of raspberry, red cherry and five spice.
  
  The palate is beautifully balanced with ripe fruit flavours of plum, wild berries and mineral notes. This Syrah is finely structured combining both savoury characters and fruit sweetness.
